Position Summary:

The Mopar Inventory Finance Analyst is responsible for providing inventory accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, and analytical support to operating management. This role serves as a key liaison between Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Systems, and Accounting organizations to ensure inventory accuracy, financial compliance, and effective business decision-making. The position manages inventory-related financial processes, account reconciliations, inventory controls, forecasting activities, and strategic inventory initiatives while supporting audit and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage inventory accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities to support accurate financial results.
  • Analyze inventory balances, movements, valuation, reserves, exceptions, and trends to identify risks, explain variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Oversee core inventory activity, including roll-forwards, returns, recoveries, cost impacts, reserve activity, and related accounting entries.
  • Prepare inventory forecasts, variance analysis, and recurring management reports that support operating and financial decisions.
  • Maintain inventory controls, SOX compliance, audit support documentation, and adherence to company accounting policies and reporting standards.
  • Coordinate inventory costing, revaluation, SIR account activity, cost updates, and related financial process improvements.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Purchasing, Systems, plants, suppliers, and international teams to resolve inventory issues and support process improvements.
  • Monitor operational inventory performance


Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams


Preferred Qualifications:



  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or other finance-related certification preferred
  • Experience with inventory accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, reconciliations, and SOX controls
