From your PASSION to ours: LACTALIS USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Tank Room Operator based in Buffalo, New York. Weekend work is required, days off are during the week.Summary: Responsible for the proper maintenance and sanitization of all silos, milk lines, cream lines, blend lines, whey lines, separators and cream tanks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned: 1.\tManually disassembles and cleans samplers, activators and valves. 2.\tChecks and replaces worn gaskets and o-rings. 3.\tReplaces QMI samplers when needed, not less than once per week. 4.\tEnsures silo's are inspected and initialed before reassembling. Check titrations document. 5.\tEmpties and washes silos every 72 hours. 6.\tCleans whey separators with a wash daily. 7.\tAssures whey and cream samples are at the laboratory as scheduled every two hours. 8.\tCleans all milk, cream, whey, and blend lines at the end of each day. 9.\tChecks with Supervisor for silo rotation for pasteurization. 10.\tMaintains tank room ensuring cleanliness. Hoses rolled up, sanitizes pipes and ports capped. Requirements Qualifications: *\tAttention to detail and accuracy in work required. *\tAbility to work well with others required. *\tStrong communication abilities, written and verbal. *\tKnowledge of computer software. Education and/or Experience: *\tHigh School Diploma required. *\tDairy Experience preferred. *\tBasic mathematical skills are required (must be able to calculate averages).
