Description

At Findorff, we bring expertise and value in construction that extends far beyond building. Since 1890, we've grown from humble beginnings into a trusted construction partner - driven by strong relationships, a dedication to safety, quality, and craftsmanship, and a commitment to the communities we serve.

What We Are Looking For

  • 10+ years of progressive commercial construction experience, including 8+ years of field supervision
  • Proven success leading large-scale projects valued at $50M or more from preconstruction through closeout
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and align multiple Superintendents, field crews, and subcontractors to deliver successful projects
  • Strong ability to manage schedules, manpower, production, labor, equipment, and overall project performance
  • Deep knowledge of building systems, construction methods, sequencing, and trade coordination
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, decision making, and conflict resolution skills
  • Established track record of leading project teams with a collaborative, team-first leadership approach

The Project:

The project includes a 7-story residential building with a standalone 7-story parking structure, totaling over 500k sf of student housing in downtown Lexington, Kentucky. The property will feature a rooftop pool, fitness center, recreation rooms, and more. The project is scheduled to break ground this fall and be completed the summer of 2028.

What You'll Do

As a Superintendent with Findorff, you'll lead field operations from project kickoff through completion, owning execution, team coordination, and jobsite performance. You'll direct and supervise field personnel and subcontractors, manage schedules, labor, and cost performance, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and with high quality. Because our work spans a wide range of project types, sizes, and complexities, no two projects look exactly the same. What stays consistent is your role as a hands-on leader, able to build strong relationships across project teams, lead by example, and contribute to the growth and development of others through training and mentorship.

  • Lead Complex Field Operations: Provide overall direction for one or multiple projects, including coordinating Superintendents, field personnel, subcontractors, and project teams to keep work aligned and moving forward.
  • Drive Project Execution: Lead planning and scheduling efforts, develop short-interval schedules, coordinate manpower and crew sizes, and manage production to achieve project milestones and completion goals.
  • Own Jobsite Performance: Take responsibility for field execution, including scheduling, production, quality, safety, and cost performance, while monitoring progress and proactively addressing issues that could impact project outcomes.
  • Champion Safety & Quality: Ensure safety and quality expectations are understood, implemented, and consistently maintained. Educate and enforce OSHA requirements while promoting a proactive approach to jobsite safety.
  • Manage Project Risks: Identify, assess, and actively manage project risks. Use your construction expertise and sound judgment to solve complex problems and implement practical solutions with the project team.
  • Lead Project Teams: Provide clear direction and leadership to project teams, fostering strong communication, mentoring team members, resolving conflicts, and building lasting relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
