Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School ( RWJMS) in New Brunswick, NJ is seeking a full-time Research Assistant Professor of Surgery. The Research Assistant Professor will conduct research activities that support the strategic priorities of the Department of Surgery, contribute to the growth of departmental research programs, collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams, and maintain strong communication with faculty, staff, trainees, and administrative leadership. The successful candidate is expected to possess the expertise, technical skills, and scholarly experience necessary to make immediate contributions to their assigned research program with minimal additional training.
Candidates should demonstrate a strong record of research productivity and a commitment to advancing the academic mission of the Department of Surgery through innovative and collaborative research.
Appointment to the Research Track is contingent upon the availability of funding from grants, contracts, and other approved sources. Continued appointment is dependent upon sustained funding and satisfactory performance in research-related activities.

Minimum Education and Experience
The Successful candidate must have: Ph.D., M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant scientific or clinical discipline. Demonstrated research experience and scholarly productivity, including peer-reviewed publications.
