Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Merchandiser is to service assigned retail customers in a safe, productive, and professional manner. This position is responsible for maintaining appropriate product inventory levels, ensuring products are properly displayed and rotated, and supporting overall execution at both large- and small-format off-premise retail locations.

The Merchandiser will also provide sales support by building strong relationships with customers and identifying opportunities to increase product placement and sales when appropriate.


Key Responsibilities
Customer & Account Management

  • Maintain appropriate product levels at assigned accounts to support sales and minimize out-of-stock conditions.
  • Ensure products are properly rotated and maintained according to established product rotation standards, minimizing out-of-code and damaged product.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and properly functioning company equipment and ensure it is presented in a premium manner.
  • Establish and maintain friendly, professional relationships with retail managers and account contacts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product placement, displays, and overall execution within assigned accounts.


Merchandising & Execution

  • Execute established merchandising processes, standards, and routines across assigned accounts.
  • Build, protect, and grow the assigned product portfolio through strong in-store execution.
  • Monitor competitor activity, including new product launches, promotions, and price changes, and communicate relevant information to the appropriate sales team.
  • Notify the appropriate Account Sales Manager of damaged, dented, or out-of-code product requiring pickup or exchange.
  • Communicate out-of-stock items and opportunities to improve product placement and point-of-distribution execution.
  • Maintain required records and documentation in compliance with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations, including mileage, fuel purchases, training, driver logs, and other required records.


Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with sales team members to execute new programs, promotions, and large-format displays.
  • Share best practices and work collaboratively across teams to improve execution and customer service.
  • Represent the company and brand professionally through responsible driving, customer interactions, and overall in-market presence.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, focus, passion, and accountability in all aspects of the role.
