Summary

The coordinator will manage the day-to-day operations of the Center for Accessibility Resources, ensuring that all services are processed in a timely and professional manner.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support for the Center for Accessibility Resources, serving as the "face" of office for in-person, phone, and online inquiries.
  • Act as the direct contact to provide general office assistance and direct inquiries on the University to students, faculty, staff, and parents.
  • Plans and coordinates all testing services for students with documented disabilities.
  • Supervises student front desk workers for both office, as they assist students with the scheduling of testing appointments.
  • Manage and respond to all of the operational needs (computers, copier, and printers) to accommodate the use for students and faculty.
  • Schedule and maintain appointments for the Director and the Center for Accessibility Resources
  • Coordinate and assist students with the use of computers and other technology related inquiries.
  • Demonstrate excellent keyboard skills, including advanced word processing functions and knowledge of Excel for reports and basic statistical analysis. Maintain Outlook calendar.
  • Maintain relevant modules on Colleague, inputting and retrieving data, and creating reports.
  • Discretely handle a large volume of highly sensitive and confidential information pertaining to student records.
  • Hire, train, and supervise student staff; develop and oversee projects for student staff.
  • Monitor department budgets and prepare reports as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform all essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and /or ability required.   • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Three or more years related experience preferred.
  • Ability to speak effectively with students, faculty, staff, parents, community, and other constituents.
  • Training and/or experience with PC-windows based environments with word processing, spreadsheet, and database knowledge required.
  • Ability to write standard reports and routine correspondence.
  • Demonstrate judgment in the handling of confidential and sensitive situations involving students, faculty, and staff.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to perform routine mathematical computations and perform basic bookkeeping/accounting functions. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in a variety of forms. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

Description of Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
