Job Duties Lead and support a janitorial team while performing daily cleaning and housekeeping tasks. Assign daily work, monitor productivity, and ensure cleaning duties are completed on schedule. Inspect work areas, conduct quality checks, and address cleaning concerns promptly. Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, breakrooms, hallways, common areas, and production spaces. Empty trash, sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize surfaces, and respond to spills as needed. Communicate staffing, attendance, safety, supply, and facility concerns to management while assisting with team training and shift coverage. Experience Requirements Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or industrial cleaning experience preferred. Prior team lead, shift lead, or supervisory experience in a cleaning or facilities environment preferred. Experience training employees, assigning work, and maintaining quality standards. Ability to work independently and make routine decisions with minimal supervision. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and cleaning best practices. Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Ability to read and understand cleaning instructions, chemical labels, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Completion of company-provided safety and cleaning training as required. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the work shift. Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull cleaning equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Must be comfortable using cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment safely. Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and work in various indoor facility environments. Reliable attendance and flexibility to respond to staffing or operational needs.
