Description

Safety is #1 at BTD: Our expectation is that every employee: 1) Follows EHS policies, rules and safe work methods. 2) Promptly corrects or reports EHS hazards or unsafe conditions. Promptly reports injuries for prompt diagnosis and treatment. 3) Makes regular suggestions for EHS process improvements to support continuous improvement in EHS programs.

Essential Functions: This position is responsible for the following tasks, duties, and responsibilities:

1. Meets all the essential functions of EHS Coordinator 1

2. Stays up to date on new state and federal health and EHS regulations.

3. Assist corporate legal department to address any health and safety-related legal matters

4. With EHS leadership, provide suggested changes to company safety handbook.

5. Assist in onboarding new Safety Coordinators from other BTD Sites.

6. Maintain certificate to teach CPR/First Aid Certification to BTD employees.

7. Support the review, development, implementation and continuous improvement of EHS programs consistent with regulatory requirements and best practice industrial EHS Management Standard.

Education, Experience and Skills Required: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Management, or related field is preferred. 3 to 5 years previous work experience in the health and safety field is required. Leadership experience is preferred.

* EHS Degree preferred or 3 years EHS work experience

* OSHA 30

* Possesses knowledge of legal repercussions of workplace accidents.

* Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, organized and able to prioritize.

* Ability to establish and maintain strong, cooperative working relationships with others.

* Strong working knowledge of the equipment, materials, methods and practices used in production operations.

* Must be able to delegate work as workload defines.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: The position has good working conditions in a manufacturing plant environment. Time will be spent on the job site monitoring conditions and inspecting products. Time will also be spent in an office setting processing paperwork. Proper safety gear must be worn at all times. Travel to satellite offices may be required. Standard 40-hour workweek applies.

Compensation Salary Range: OTC9 $60,060-$90,090. The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(K) match, etc.
