THE POSITION

The Clerical Assistant 3 position with the Pennsylvania State Lottery, Retailer Services Division is a great opportunity to play an important role in supporting customer service and clerical work that keeps the Lottery moving forward. You will be speaking with retailers, entering claim information, and helping resolve ticket questions with care and accuracy. This position gives you a chance to further your skills while contributing to a mission that serves communities statewide. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role supports retailer services by assisting callers, processing ticket information, and reviewing claims and licensing documents. As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will perform the following duties:

  • Customer Assistance: Respond to calls and emails to provide information and resolve Lottery related issues
  • Ticket Processing: Review, adjust, and track scratch off ticket packs using the GMS system
  • Issue Resolution: Investigate ticket delivery problems and determine next steps for retailers
  • Claims Handling: Enter, review, and correct claim information in the back-office systems
  • Licensing Support: Scan documents, prepare correspondence, and gather missing licensing details
  • Mail Management: Open, sort, and file mail and correspondence for retailer records

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Call center experience
  • Customer service experience
