Department: Dorothy's Market

Reports To: Dorothy's Market Manager

Wage Range: $15.32 - $19.69

As a Dorothy's Market Clerk, you will have a variety of duties including but not limited to customer service activities, operating a cash register, maintaining store conditions, receiving inventory, and stocking shelves, troubleshooting register issues, and executing closing bookwork.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Presents a helpful and positive image to customers and answers questions as needed.
  • Operates cash register processing customers through the checkout.
  • Stocks shelves (dry, frozen, or refrigerated) and work backstock as needed.
  • Assists with maintaining superior store conditions daily.
  • Applies outstanding customer service to Dorothy's Market customers.
  • Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.


YOU MUST HAVE



  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to repetitively lift weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to deal with pressure and work with all customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Professional, positive communication skills.


YOU MAY ALSO HAVE



  • Previous grocery or retail experience.
  • Previous computer experience.


ROLE SPECIFICS



  • Full Time: Tuesday-Saturday and can include day and evening hours.
  • Assists with stocking and merchandising products within the store.
  • Assists in the cleaning of store shelves and immediate work area.
  • Assists in identifying and pricing products ready to go to the floor.
  • Assists in unloading delivery trucks daily.
