Silvus Technologies is a wholly owned subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, Inc. Job Description

Would you like to join an incredibly talented group of people, doing very challenging work, with the prime directive of "Keeping Our Heroes Connected"?

THE OPPORTUNITY

Silvus is seeking a highly motivated Technical Product Manager (TPM) to drive technical requirements, market adoption, and revenue growth of the Integrated Solutions product portfolio. This position will report to the Director of Product Management on the Product team. The successful individual in this role will play a vital role in translating complex defense requirements into turnkey solutions, system-level specifications, and intuitive operator experiences. This is a technical execution role requiring a deep understanding of tactical RF networks, systems engineering, turnkey integrations, and MIMO mesh architectures.

This position bridges the gap between tactical systems integration requirements and engineering execution. While Silvus' core hardware team drives the physical New Product Introduction (NPI) of Silvus' flagship radio chassis, this role focuses on the systems-level integration with third parties, technical specification, and turnkey productization of our core communications technology into fully integrated packages (such as PRISM, NEXUS, and AIRS). Additionally, you will focus on leveraging existing hardware and radios to integrate them into turnkey solutions that resonate with customers. You will hold complete technical requirements, end-to-end performance specification, and user experience ownership for these integrated configurations, defining throughput KPIs, latency constraints, link-margin budgets, and overall system-level trade-offs. The role requires up to 25% of travel to support field testing, customer integrations, or customer meetings.

This position is located at Silvus Technologies' Engineering and R&D Office in Irvine, CA, near the vibrant Irvine Spectrum and is on a hybrid schedule, with one day reporting to our West Los Angeles HQ. On-site days are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays at our Irvine office and Thursdays at our West Los Angeles HQ.

The following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time at its discretion.

  • Turnkey Solutions Integration (PRISM & NEXUS): Defining end-to-end performance specifications and system-level trade-offs for our Integrated Solutions such as PRISM, AIRS and NEXUS, ensuring turnkey integrated communications packages are optimized for their intended operational environments. Continuous customer engagement to evolve Integrated Solutions for evolving customer base and for opportunities to expand market reach.

  • Engineering Liaison: Collaborating closely with hardware and software engineering teams to leverage existing radios and modules into seamless turnkey systems.

Tactical Lifecycle & Agile Backlog Management

  • Sprint & Backlog Ownership: Managing sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release cadences for specialized integrated solutions features, platform firmware builds, and turnkey system updates.

  • Scope & Trade-off Analysis: Conducting technical analysis of customer feature requests, evaluating engineering timelines, and establishing scope boundaries to balance schedule constraints against field expectations.

  • Integrated Portfolio Lifecycle Management: Overseeing the technical lifecycle and release schedules of the PRISM, NEXUS, AIRS, and future integrated solutions from initial concept, system-level testing, prototype validation, and operational deployment.

  • Ecosystem Enablement: Supporting defense integrators and system engineers in validating plug-and-play integrations of Silvus turnkey solutions into terrestrial, aerial, and maritime platforms.
