Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking an associate with 3-5 years of energy project finance experience to join the Finance Practice Group and Energy Sector in our Denver, Los Angeles, Madison, Milwaukee, New York, or Washington, DC office. The associate will work on sophisticated renewable energy and infrastructure matters across Foley's nationally integrated platform, with a focus on project finance and tax credit transactions, as well as broad substantive exposure to a variety of power and renewable energy due diligence matters.

Qualified candidates will have meaningful experience representing developers, sponsors, lenders, investors, or other project participants in renewable energy and infrastructure transactions. Experience drafting and negotiating credit agreements and related financing documents is required. Candidates should also have experience with tax credit transactions, including transactions involving tax equity or the transfer of energy tax credits. Experience reviewing project documents, coordinating due diligence and subject-matter specialist input, managing transaction workstreams, and driving matters toward closing is expected. Experience with conventional generation, or other energy and infrastructure assets is welcomed.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills; sound judgment; attention to detail; and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a collaborative, client-focused environment. Strong academic credentials are required, and large law firm experience is preferred.

Applicants must hold a JD from an ABA-accredited law school and be an active member in good standing of the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where admitted to practice. Timely admission to the Bar of the state where the hiring office is located will be required as a condition of employment.

In support of transparency and equity in the workplace, Foley provides salary ranges for all positions. The expected salary range for this position is between $260,000 - $350,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, experience, internal pay equity at Foley, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
