As the Senior Director, Early Phase CMC Medicine Research Leader you will ensure the successful CMC delivery of GSK's early phase portfolio (Rx and Vx) through the coaching, training, mentoring and recruiting of CMC project matrix leaders who lead programs in support of Early Development Leaders (EDLs) across the GSK, ViiV and partnered portfolios. You will lead the early CMC research and development of clinical products from Commit to Lead Optimization (C2LO) through Commit to Phase 3 (C2P3), ahead of the start of development of the Phase 3/commercial process. This is a matrix leadership role, engaging with Research/Discovery project leadership at or before the C2LO milestone to provide strategic CMC input and guidance, and leading CMC activities of an asset through candidate selection, Phase 1 process development, and pre-clinical and Phase 1 supply, before transitioning accountability to the Development & Industrialization organization in support of Phase 3 delivery. #GSK-LI Skills Communication, Cross-Functional Leadership, Drug Development, Project Development, Project Implementations, Project Leadership, Scientific Research * If you are based in Cambridge, MA; Waltham, MA; Rockville, MD; or San Francisco, CA, the annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges $202,125 to $336,875. * If you are based in another US location, the annual base salary range is $183,750 to $306,250. The US salary ranges take into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidate's skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role. Available benefits include health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
