The Shuttle Driver 2 will safely load, unload, and deliver parts on a timely schedule as directed, to Shuttle System drop boxes and Stores along assigned route. This is to be performed while adhering to company safety regulations and state laws. Other duties may include, but not limited to, assisting Parts Departments in sorting and other warehouse duties.

Has moderate knowledge of the field's standard and technical concepts, practices, and procedures. Performs a variety of standard, complex, and technical tasks; is indirectly supervised and self-starting.

Essential Functions
Responds to company needs in a positive, caring manner while striving form prompt, accurate and efficient transport of all shuttle shipments Secures material on to truck and ensures that material meets state and federal guidelines for safe transport and vehicle capabilities, as measured by passing inspections through D.O.T. mobile and fixed scale locations. Meet all state requirements and all Holt safety and health guidelines, as monitored by yearly management records. Completes D.O.T. required drivers daily log accurately and without misrepresentation, and must not have more than three moving violations within a twelve-month period Completes driver's daily inspection report, making recommendations for repair or maintenance Responsible for the clean appearance of the company assigned vehicle Travels to all HOLT CAT locations, and work multiple days or weeks at those locations Works with Parts Systems Manger on various projects Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Basic knowledge of industrial engine, transportation, and safe driving procedures Knowledge and understanding of Motor Carrier Safety Regulations/DOT guidelines Demonstrates proficiency with current computer software, related hardware, and machine electronic systems Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction Quality control analysis skills - conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance Operation and control skills - controlling operations of equipment or systems Equipment selection skills - determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job The ability to adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle quickly and repeatedly to exact positions Ability to read maps and operate GPS systems Ability to maintain a clean driver's record and diligent attention to safety Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in mechanical repair The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble small objects The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
Requirements
Education and Experience:
High school or equivalent diploma preferred Valid Texas Driver's License with Class A CDL, to include the ability to maintain the Valid Texas Driver's License Driver must be qualified and certified for vehicle operation Driver Must have more than 3 years' experience operating a truck trailer combo Must be able to drive and operate a truck with manual transmission
