Home base for this position is Charlotte, NC with an assigned work location of Anderson, SC for Duke Energy's Combined Cycle construction project. However, flexible location options will be considered dependent upon the selected candidate. Anderson CC Project - Construction Manager This position has single point field accountability for all aspects of capital power generation or related projects with a total installed value of $100 million - $3 billion. The Manager of Construction is accountable to ensure all project field success factors are met, including but not limited to scope, schedule, cost, quality, environmental, safety, communications, security, and integration. The position serves as the unifying field agent providing leadership, management, direction, coordination, and control of the project execution phase in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements of Duke Energy. Responsibilities:
Key Skills/Experience Experience in Combined Cycle/Simple Cycle power plant construction and/or heavy construction Basic/Required Basic Qualifications Associate's degree OR HS/GED and 15 plus years relevant work experience in lieu of a degree Preferred Qualifications: Project Management Professional Certified Construction Manager OSHA 30 Licensed Contractor National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Desired Skills: Good Communication skills Combined cycle, simple cycle, heavy construction manager experience Additional Preferred Qualifications Contract management, scheduling, cost reporting, safety regulations both companies and OSHA, various codes such as ASME, ACI, NEC, ANSI Reporting Relationships: Will this role have direct reports? Yes Employees report to this role, directly or indirectly: Professional, Technical/Craft, Contingent Workers. Nature of the Job: Tasks are straight forward, routine, and often repetitive.
