Summary: The Analyst, Commercial Asset Optimization supports Energy Transfer's Asset Optimization organization by identifying opportunities to improve asset utilization, remove operational constraints, and maximize value across NGL, Refined Products, Petrochemical, Industrial Gas, and related infrastructure systems. This position works closely with Commercial, Operations, Engineering, Scheduling, and Project Development teams to evaluate asset performance, conduct economic analyses, develop business cases, and support the advancement of optimization and growth initiatives. The role requires strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations that drive business results. The successful candidate will develop a broad understanding of Energy Transfer's integrated asset network while helping identify and advance opportunities that improve throughput, reliability, logistics efficiency, and long-term asset value. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure across commercial, operational, engineering, and project development functions while supporting strategic initiatives across Energy Transfer's integrated asset network. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze asset utilization, throughput, inventory, operational performance, and market data to identify optimization opportunities.
- Support the evaluation and development of asset optimization initiatives that improve utilization, capacity, reliability, and commercial performance.
- Work with Operations, Commercial, Engineering, Scheduling, and Business Development teams to gather data and assess system constraints and improvement opportunities.
- Develop economic evaluations, sensitivity analyses, and financial models to support project development and management decision-making.
- Assist in developing business cases and recommendations for capital and non-capital optimization initiatives.
- Support development and maintenance of opportunity pipelines by quantifying value creation and identifying execution considerations.
- Analyze operational and commercial data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and emerging opportunities across Energy Transfer's asset network.
- Assist in the development of integrated value-chain opportunities involving NGLs, Refined Products, Petrochemicals, Industrial Gases, Crude Oil, and Natural Gas systems.
- Develop performance metrics, dashboards, reports, and presentations that support data-driven business decisions.
- Support project development activities including capacity analysis, scope evaluation, economic justification, and project prioritization.
- Prepare presentations and reports for management and key stakeholders.
- Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitive developments that may impact asset utilization and optimization opportunities.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and value creation across business functions.
- Conduct duties in an ethical manner and model Energy Transfer's ethics and compliance standards.
Requirements: Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below: Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 1-5 years of experience in the midstream, refining, petrochemical, industrial gas, energy, consulting, analytics, or related industries.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Strong quantitative and financial analysis capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and develop industry knowledge.
Preferred:
- Engineering degree.
- Knowledge of NGL, refined products, petrochemical, industrial gas, crude oil, or natural gas markets.
- Experience with financial modeling, economic analysis, or business case development.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, SQL, Python, Seeq or other analytical tools.
- Familiarity with pipeline, storage, fractionation, processing, or export terminal operations.
- Experience supporting capital project evaluations or operational improvement initiatives.
- Experience developing dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting tools.
Working Conditions:

- The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
