Postdocs will be part of the Emotion Lab, directed by Dr. Susan Charles who is collaborating with a team of researchers to examine socioemotional processes across the adult lifespan, and how they contribute to physical and cognitive well-being. The project will include advanced quantitative methods to examine how social connections are related to biomarkers and behaviors that are linked to long-term physical and cognitive health outcomes. We are interested in candidates with experience studying social processes, emotional experiences, and cognition across later adulthood. Core Activities: Conducting advanced quantitative analyses, presenting findings at academic conferences, writing and publishing peer-reviewed papers, assisting in annual reports, and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students. Qualifications: a publication record in scientific journals focused on aging and lifespan development, and excellent quantitative data analysis skills. Start date is flexible within the 2026 fall quarter. Applicants need to be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
