What We're Looking For:

The Pool Bartender plays a key role in the poolside experience by preparing high-quality beverages and providing excellent service in a vibrant and welcoming setting. Responsibilities include crafting refreshing drinks, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and ensuring smooth bar operations. Strong guest engagement and collaboration with the team are essential to delivering a seamless and enjoyable environment for all.

What You Will Do:

  • Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and specialty drinks according to recipes and guest preferences.

  • Create and recommend unique cocktails tailored to guest tastes.

  • Ensure all drinks meet the highest quality and presentation standards.

  • Greet and engage guests with a friendly, welcoming attitude, providing personalized service.

  • Take drink orders from guests and servers, answering inquiries about menu options.

  • Handle guest complaints or special requests professionally to ensure satisfaction.

  • Set up the bar at the beginning of each shift, ensuring that all equipment, garnishes, and supplies are ready for service.

  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including cleaning glassware, surfaces, and waste disposal.

  • Monitor and report inventory levels for beverages, garnishes, and supplies to avoid shortages.

  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations, including verifying guest identification.

  • Monitor guest alcohol consumption and enforce responsible service practices.

  • Adhere to all state and local laws regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.

  • Collaborate with servers, barbacks, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service.

  • Assist with restocking supplies and supporting barback duties during busy periods.

  • Foster a positive team environment while delivering exceptional service.

  • Regular attendance in conformance with standards.

  • May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.

  • Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications Include:

  • Previous experience in a food and beverage setting is required, with bartending experience highly preferred.

  • Comprehensive understanding of alcoholic beverages, cocktail recipes, preparation techniques, appropriate glassware, and bar equipment, including knowledge of legal regulations for alcohol service (TIPS certification or ability to obtain is required).

  • Strong guest service skills with a focus on creating memorable experiences.

  • Basic proficiency with computer systems for order processing and inventory tracking.

  • Physical ability to stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.

  • Capability to perform duties in an outdoor environment, adapting to various weather conditions.

  • Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
