About the Role

The Millwright plays a critical role in maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial machinery and systems throughout the facility. This position supports daily operations by ensuring equipment reliability and by performing a broad range of mechanical, hydraulic, welding, and cranemaintenance activities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, and technical diagrams
  • Perform maintenance and repair of hydraulic systems
  • Apply advanced welding techniques including MIG, TIG, stick (including stainless), and gas welding
  • Operate mobile equipment safely and effectively
  • Conduct routine and preventive crane maintenance using proper safe rigging methods
  • Install, align, and maintain gear reductions and motor/reducer couplings
  • Work comfortably and safely at heights
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and support crossfunctional operations
  • Meet attendance expectations and complete additional duties as assigned



Required Qualifications

  • Dedication to safe work practices
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of the EQS inhouse Apprentice Program or minimum 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a heavy industrial setting (steelmaking experience strongly preferred)
  • Ability to pass written, blueprint, hydraulic, and welding assessments
  • Valid driver's license preferred (driving is not an essential job function but license status is monitored per company policy)
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
