Job Summary

Summary:

Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration systems in various settings.

Essential Functions:
-Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems in various settings, such as commercial buildings, factories, and homes.
-Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with refrigeration systems.
-Ensure that refrigeration systems are functioning properly and efficiently.
-Install and maintain refrigeration piping, valves, and control systems.
-Keep accurate records of all work performed and maintain necessary documentation.
-Respond to emergency calls and perform repairs in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
No

Licenses and Credentials
Heating and Ventilation Engineer [Massachusetts] - Massachusetts Board of State Examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters required

Experience
Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience 1-2 years preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems, including how they work, how to diagnose problems, and how to repair them.
- Familiarity with refrigeration piping, valves, and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and diagrams.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Valid driver's license.
