Corrections Maintenance Foreman - SCI Coal Township

This position directs inmate work crews and performs hands-on maintenance tasks throughout SCI Coal Township. It requires skill in multiple trades, strong organization, and consistent oversight of work assignments. As a Corrections Maintenance Foreman, you will perform the following duties:

• Crew Oversight: Direct inmate workers completing construction, maintenance, janitorial, lawn care, and snow removal tasks
• Skilled Trades: Perform or assist with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, painting, welding, and related work
• Tool Control: Issue and inventory tools and materials while conducting searches to ensure accountability
• Material Planning: Identify needed materials and submit purchase requests for supplies and tools
• Work Documentation: Record inmate attendance, inspect assignments, and track completion of daily tasks

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 40 hours/week
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
• This position is eligible for full benefits at age 50 or 55.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $49,010.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Four years of experience performing building maintenance, construction, or general trades work; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

• You must possess a current driver's license which is not under suspension.
• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
