| Job Description Summary: |
The Multiracial Democracy Project (
MDP) at The George Washington University Law School seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and implementation of
MDP programs and events. This position will provide logistical and operational support across MDP's initiatives, serve as a key point of contact for
MDP partners, and support day-to-day administrative operations.
The Program Coordinator assists with a variety of functional and administrative responsibilities, including coordinating meetings and events, scheduling travel, maintaining project calendars and databases, preparing materials and reports, processing payments and reimbursements, tracking project deliverables, and assisting with other administrative and operational functions as assigned, and responding to routine inquiries from internal and external stakeholders. Work is performed under the general supervision of senior program staff.
Program and Event Coordination
- Assist with planning and execution of convenings, webinars, meetings, and special events
- Support the coordination of logistics including venue management, catering, travel arrangements, registration
- Track event deliverables, timelines, and follow-up tasks
- Support preparation of meeting materials, agendas, briefing documents, and presentations
- Support outreach efforts related to convenings, webinars, and program initiatives
Administrative Support
- Maintain program calendars and scheduling
- Coordinate meeting logistics and prepare meeting notes when needed
- Organize and maintain project files, databases, and shared documents
- Assist with vendor onboarding and coordination
- Support cross-functional collaboration across program initiatives and GW offices
Project Management
- Track program activities, deadlines, and deliverables across multiple initiatives
- Support data collection and reporting for funders, GW, and project evaluations
- Assist with maintaining organizational systems and standard operating procedures

| Minimum Qualifications: |
Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/
GED plus 3 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
