For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants. This bonus will be prorated for part-time positions. Please note this bonus is not available for per-diem positions. Current MaineHealth employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth employees are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Summary

TheNew Patient Access Representativeis the first point of contact for patients establishing primary care. This role provides exceptional customer service, guides patients through the new patient process, and ensures timely access to the appropriate provider.

The representative uses scheduling technology, automated workflows, and outreach tools while partnering with providers and care teams to support an efficient, positive patient experience.

What You'll Do

  • Welcome and assist new patients throughout the scheduling process.
  • Schedule new patient and follow-up appointments with appropriate providers.
  • Manage scheduling queues, waitlists, callbacks, and outreach opportunities.
  • Answer calls and electronic messages and assist with scheduling questions.
  • Complete patient registration and verify demographic and insurance information.
  • Document scheduling activities and patient interactions accurately in the EHR.
  • Collaborate with providers and care teams to improve access and patient service.

What We're Looking For

  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills and comfort using multiple applications.
  • Team-oriented with a commitment to improving the patient experience.
  • Six months of medical office experience required.
  • High school diploma/GED preferred.
  • Healthcare scheduling, registration, or EHR experience preferred.

The pay range for this position is $20.27to $24.36 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
