Position Title: New Business Development Manager - Power

Electronics

Location: Palatine, IL (Hybrid: 3 days in the office and two days remote Tue/Thu).

Classification: Full-Time, Exempt

Work Schedules: 8 hours of work per day with a start time

between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM; lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. (Individual

choice ranging from 7:00 AM start / 4:00 PM finish to 10:00 AM start / 7:00 PM

finish)

travel based on business needs

Summary

A leading global

manufacturer specializing in power conversion electronics, power

semiconductors, and power supplies is seeking a New Business Development
professional with

background of B2B sales in electronics industry
. In this role, you will act as the primary contact window for clients and drives

sales, account servicing, and market research for strategic business expansion.

The candidate will lead business development initiatives-identifying new target

markets, client segments, product applications, and project startups-to achieve

continuous corporate growth.

Essential

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Execute

Marketing & Business Strategies



  • Perform

    primary market research, competitive market evaluations, fit analyses, and

    needs assessments to support strategic growth.
  • Identify

    prospective accounts through market research and develop tailored sales

    strategies for each target prospect.
  • Plan,

    schedule, and execute client visits to gather market intelligence,

    introduce power conversion product lines, and deliver in-depth technical

    presentations.
  • Develop

    marketing collateral and tools in collaboration with internal teams to

    enhance sales outreach and promotional activities.
  • Act as

    the key contact for industry associations and build high-value

    relationships with referral sources and strategic clients.
  • Coordinate

    and participate in promotional events, trade shows, conventions, and

    exhibitions with industry suppliers.
  • Monitor

    industry trends, competitive landscapes, and technical advances, reporting

    key findings and recommended strategies to executive management.
  • Research

    client product requirements and specifications; communicate these needs to

    internal engineering teams to align product capabilities.
  • Collaborate

    with Field Application Engineers (FAEs) and corporate engineering staff to

    assemble technical data and presentations.
  • Prepare

    periodic activity reports, review performance progress, analyze variances,

    and execute corrective action plans as needed.


New Business

Development



  • Identify

    key decision-makers, core requirements, and technical pain points through

    consultative inquiry.
  • Manage

    and advance the sales pipeline to transition new opportunities into

    commercial successes.
  • Coordinate

    internal technical engineering support services to ensure client technical

    specifications are fully met.
  • Initiate,

    lead, and direct custom business proposals and quote submissions to

    capture incremental market share.
  • Deliver

    accurate product specifications, development timelines, and pricing quotes

    to convert strategic discussions into commercial orders.


Manage and

Maintain Key Accounts



  • Build

    and sustain long-term client relationships through regular communication

    via phone, email, and on-site visits.
  • Establish

    a consistent on-site presence with client cross-functional teams

    (including Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and

    Management).
  • Secure

    quote opportunities for incoming client requirements and systematically

    follow up on open bids.
  • Negotiate

    pricing, terms, and contracts with clients and suppliers in alignment with

    corporate objectives.
  • Ensure

    end-to-end client satisfaction across all delivered product lines and

    services.


Professional

& Operational Responsibilities



  • Maintain

    clear lines of communication across all internal business departments to

    streamline operations.
  • Keep

    management proactively informed of account status, project milestones, and

    progress.
  • Maintain

    professional and technical expertise by attending workshops, reviewing

    industry publications, and participating in professional networks.



Qualifications



  • Minimum

    5-8 years of direct B2B sales experience within the Electronics Industry.
  • In-depth

    working knowledge of power conversion electronics (e.g., power

    semiconductors, power supply circuits, and related component topologies)

    and modern consultative sales methodologies.
  • Professional-level

    fluency in English with exceptional written, verbal, and technical

    presentation skills.
  • Ability

    and willingness to travel 25-30% domestically and internationally for

    strategic client meetings and trade events.
  • Proven

    track record of working directly with Field Application Engineers (FAEs)

    and global corporate R&D/engineering teams to deliver custom technical

    solutions (highly preferred).
  • An

    established network of prospective client contacts and decision-makers

    within sectors requiring power management and semiconductor solutions

    (preferred).


The base pay range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to offer for this role. Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, and performance.
