As a Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting modern software solutions across the full technology stack. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to architectural decisions, mentor fellow engineers, and help deliver high-quality applications that improve experiences for both members and co-workers. What You'll Do (Your Impact)



  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software solutions that support Summit's members and employees.
  • Build and enhance applications across the full technology stack, including frontend and backend development.
  • Write clean, modular, and maintainable code that can adapt to evolving technologies and business needs.
  • Review AI-generated code and shared code to ensure it meets organizational quality, security, and performance standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, identify opportunities, and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
  • Support code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and adherence to development best practices.
  • Develop and maintain secure applications that meet organizational security, logging, data protection, and regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshoot application and system issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing disruption to users.
  • Monitor application performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Utilize Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices to deliver software efficiently and reliably.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers by sharing technical expertise and encouraging professional growth.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance development processes, reliability, and user experience.


What You Bring



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Three years or more of relevant professional software engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of education and applicable work experience.
  • Extensive experience with JavaScript or TypeScript development.
  • Experience building applications using Node.js (Express).
  • Experience developing frontend applications using Angular or Vue.js.
  • Additional experience with Python and Java is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of full-stack software development, including frontend and backend technologies.
  • Working knowledge of cloud-native infrastructure, containerization technologies, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience working in Agile development environments and utilizing DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices within GitHub environments.
  • Experience with automated testing concepts, including unit testing, integration testing, and UI testing.
  • Experience with data management and observability tools such as Splunk and Cribl.
  • Understanding of secure software development practices and regulatory compliance considerations.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools and productivity-enhancing development technologies.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands and fingers. The employee may occasionally reach above and below shoulder level and lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 10 pounds.

Environmental/Working Conditions

Work is performed in a typical administrative setting with climate control and appropriate lighting. Travel to branches may require exposure to outdoor and traffic conditions.

Equipment Used

A variety of office equipment, including telephone, printer, PC, and mobile devices.

Work Schedule

May require occasional work outside standard business hours, including overnight support for certain software engineering activities, deployments, or maintenance efforts.
