Requisition Summary
The Peterbilt Application Development Team is seeking a Senior Application Developer with expertise in Microsoft.net development technologies. This role involves working within an agile development team to design, build, enhance, and support proprietary systems for Peterbilt Motors Company. Responsibilities include collaborating with product owners and business analysts on user stories, software design, development, unit testing, deployment coordination with operations, and contributing to research and development efforts for new technologies, systems, and process improvements. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, self-directed, adept at problem-solving, possess strong communication and presentation skills, and exhibit the ability to collaborate effectively with management and operations at all levels of the organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and support API Connect and Web Services (REST, SOAP, gRPC, SignalR).
- Designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications using various web and client technologies.
- Conducting research, troubleshooting, and resolving complex software problems.
- Leading medium to large strategic projects, as well as other support and development assignments.
- Collaborating with business users and product owners to develop, refine, and document user stories.
- Creating technical specifications and architecture.
- Having aggressive learning goals and a willingness to support business partners using 24x7 applications that require some on-call support responsibilities.
- Occasional travel, including international.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science/Electrical Engineering, or related field required.
- 7+ years of experience in developing web and client applications using .NET Framework, .NET Core / .NET 6, ASP .NET, C#, MVC, React, and Signal R.
- Ample experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, and Entity Framework.
- Experience working with Blazor, XML, YAML, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Bash, Powershell, Groovy, JSON.
- Two years' experience working with AWS Cloud, micro services and/or containers.
- Two years' experience working with AI tools such as Microsoft CoPilot, CoPilot X for GitHub.
Required Qualifications Cont.
- Windows Forms, Web Forms, WCF & ASMX Services, REST (Web API), hosting using IIS Server.
- Solid knowledge and experience in software testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and acceptance testing.
- Strong understanding and experience with CI/CD tools such as AzureDevOps / Octopus.
- Highly experienced with agile software development practices.
- Experience working with and creating Automated Unit Testing.
- Demonstrated Software design and Technical Architecture Experience.
- Thorough understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Solid understanding of design patterns and best practices in software engineering.
- Ability to work effectively in a self-organizing distributed team environment.
- Highly self-motivated and flexible with a focus on delivery.
- Ability to work well with others and demonstrate strong communication skills and self-motivation.
