Lead Software Developer, Middle & Back Office Systems – (job location is Stamford, CT; employer is Hudson Bay Capital Management LP) – Oversee a team of developers engaged in the design, development, and testing applications. Create software applications to support new feature enhancements. Deliver product roadmap requirements. Implement QA application testing frameworks to improve application quality and security. Develop application framework components to create re-usable application delivery and development capabilities. Coordinate application reliability and observability enhancements with DevOps and application support teams. Participate and deliver implementations of Cloud-based application components and design migration strategies to Cloud native services and SaaS offerings. Identify and collaborate to develop best practices and tools for software development, code generation, and AI assisted programming techniques. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or in a related role. All of the required experience must have included experience with: supporting hedge fund or asset management workflows, including end-to-end trade lifecycle processing across front, middle, and back office systems; developing enterprise applications using C# and .NET Core in a cloud environment; electronic trading systems, including FIX protocol, order management, trade capture, and handling of trade executions and fills in listed or electronically traded products; over-the counter (OTC) trade booking and lifecycle management, including capture, confirmation, amendments, novations, and lifecycle events specific to OTC derivatives; designing and developing systems that support valuation, P&L calculation (including intraday/flash P&L), and position management for complex financial products; implementing event-driven architectures using cloud messaging systems and on-premises hardware to support real-time or near real-time trade and market data processing; working with high-performance database systems, including relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server) and distributed caching technologies (Redis Enterprise) to support low-latency cache performance and secondary indices querying, SQL performance tuning and optimization, query plans, and optimizer hints; mentoring junior developers; code and architecture reviews; leading sprints using agile methodology; being accountable for delivery of end-to-end solutions for a group of developers; and advanced cloud-based data warehousing and ETL processing. This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our Stamford, CT office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location. Salary: $250,000/year.
