Armed Security Officer - Corrections

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Nashville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver's license and armed guard card. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and other authorized individuals while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorization for access, and assist with the control of keys, equipment, and restricted areas in accordance with post orders.
• Prepare accurate reports regarding incidents, patrols, observations, and interactions, and maintain professional communication with onsite personnel and responding law enforcement or emergency services.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
