Position Responsibilities

We are seeking a visionary, strategic, and tech-forward Senior Director of Content Marketing to lead Deltek's narrative into this next chapter. Sitting within Corporate Marketing, you will build, coach, and inspire a world-class team of content creators, strategists, and storytellers.
Your mission is clear: shape market perception around the future of intelligent project management. You will drive the overarching narrative that positions Deltek not just as a software vendor, but as an indispensable AI orchestration and insight layer connecting disparate data environments across project-based enterprises. If you excel at translating complex emerging technologies-like AI context protocols, enterprise data orchestration, and multi-source intelligence-into compelling, perception-shifting stories that fuel brand authority and market demand, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Define the AI & Platform Narrative: Own Deltek's global content strategy, articulating how our AI context layer unifies data across internal systems and external sources of truth to solve complex operational challenges.
  • Shape Market Perception: Establish Deltek as a pioneer in AI-driven project intelligence through high-impact thought leadership, industry frameworks, and forward-looking research.
  • Lead & Scale the Team: Direct, mentor, and expand a high-performing team of content strategists, tech storytellers, and managing editors. Foster a culture of editorial excellence, technical curiosity, and accountability.
Content Strategy & Execution
  • Complex Storytelling Made Accessible: Translate deeply technical concepts (e.g., Model Context Protocol, unified data layers, AI agents) into clear, value-driven narratives for enterprise leaders and C-suite decision-makers.
  • Full-Funnel Alignment: Architect multi-channel content strategies that span brand awareness, executive thought leadership, demand generation, product marketing support, and customer advocacy across key verticals (GovCon, A&D, A&E, Consulting, Construction).
  • Executive Thought Leadership: Partner with executive leadership, AI product strategy teams, and subject matter experts to showcase Deltek's innovation across tier-one media, industry keynotes, whitepapers, and digital channels.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Measurement
  • Corporate Marketing Integration: Work seamlessly with PR/AR, Brand, Product Marketing, Revenue Marketing, and Technology to ensure a cohesive market message.
  • Performance & Attribution: Define key metrics for content success (share of voice, brand perception metrics, digital engagement, organic growth, and pipeline influence). Continually optimize strategy based on qualitative feedback and performance data.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 10-12+ years of progressive content marketing leadership experience within B2B SaaS, enterprise platform architecture, or advanced data/AI solution providers.
  • Team Leadership: 5+ years managing and developing direct reports, agency partners, and cross-functional creative teams.
  • Tech-Fluent Storyteller: Deep comfort with emerging software paradigms-particularly enterprise AI applications, open protocols, data integration layers, or platform ecosystems. Proven ability to turn intricate technical architectures into resonant commercial stories.
  • Strategic & Operational Rigor: Exceptional ability to balance high-level category narrative creation with structured editorial calendars, content ops, and governance.
  • Industry Context: Experience within project-centric industries (Architecture/Engineering, Government Contracting, Professional Services) or complex ERP ecosystems is a strong plus.
  • Communication: Superior written, verbal, and executive-level presentation skills.
