ACCOUNTS PAYABLE TECHNICIAN Onsite-ROCK ISLAND, IL * Accounts Payable * Invoicing * Healthcare * Vendors * Medical Billing * Microsoft Office DESCRIPTION The Accounts Payable Technician will work onsite in Rock Island, IL for an area Healthcare Leader. The Accounts Payable Technician will handle a large backlog of invoices that need processing. As a new system is being implemented the Accounts Payable Technician will need to be dependable and ask questions for accurate refining. Overall, the Account Payable Technician will ensure prompt and accurate payments to vendors using policies and procedures. DUTIES * Utilize imaging system and verify invoices are accurately scanned and submitted into accounts payable workflow. * Electronically route invoices for approval per established policies. * Accepts and process electronic invoices in accordance to policies and procedures. * Participates in payment processing including check printing and electronic payments ensuring prompt payment of invoices featuring discounts. * Communicate with vendors, Accounting, Purchasing, and other internal and external stakeholders. * Research vendor invoice and payment issues. * Verify vendor accounts by reconcile monthly statements and related transactions. * Review of vendor credit balances and refunds to ensure timely resolution. * Assist with governmental reporting (i.e. 1099's). * Aid with Internal and External third party audits of Accounts Payable information. * Engage in process and system automation improvements. * Adhere to proper internal controls to prevent significant errors and irregularities related to the assets of the organization * Ensure compliance with company policies & procedures. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS * 1+ years experience reading invoices * Basic computer skills - creating PDFs, emailing files * 1+ years data entry experience * Strong attention to detail * Microsoft Office Suite experience ENVIRONMENT * Office * Clerical * Healthcare * Monday-Friday * 1st shift core hours INTERVIEWS & START DATE * Interviews August 5-12 * Start Date August 24, 2026 * Interviews are onsite with the Team Lead Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Rock Island, IL.
