About the Opportunity:

We're looking for an experienced Manufacturing Quality Inspector for 1st shift at our Newburyport facility.

Location:

Newburyport MA

100% On-site

Responsibilities:

  • Calibration: Manage the site's calibration system. Recall gages due for calibration, schedule outside supplier to perform all calibrations necessary.
  • Inspection & Quality Assurance: Conduct detailed inspections of engine parts using precision measurement tools. Review specifications and blueprints to ensure compliance with aerospace standards. Identify and disposition non-conforming parts.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspection results, measurement data, and non-conformance reports.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and production teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with other inspectors to share best practices and improve inspection methods.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process enhancement and optimizing inspection techniques.
  • Training Support: Assist in training new team members on inspection protocols, quality standards, and the use of measurement equipment.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality regulations, and company policies throughout all inspection activities.
  • Problem-Solving: Utilize root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques to address quality issues, implementing effective preventive measures.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of experience as a quality inspector within a manufacturing setting.
  • 3+ years of verifiable experience working in GD&T.
  • Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in the English language, both verbal and written.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
  • Must be able to pass an annual eye exam, resulting in 20/20 corrected vision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Gagetrack calibration software.
  • Experience in aerospace is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English language, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with manual layout inspection techniques, CMM inspections, and machining processes such as turning and milling.

Working Conditions

  • Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
  • Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to travel between locations or to suppliers up to 25% of time.
