Financial Reporting Accountant 2 Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares timely and accurate financial statements and reports for both internal and external users.
- Prepares journal entries as deemed appropriate and ensures proper support.
- Prepares accurate and complete account reconciliations.
- Performs ad-hoc projects to enhance the level of financial reporting service available to departmental and executive management teams.
- Acts as a resource to departmental management for accounting analysis.
- Investigates and resolves discrepancies timely and appropriately.
- Assists with technical research used to develop our position regarding accounting transactions and new guidance impacting the organization.
- Interacts with departmental personnel to ensure accounting results are consistent with operational activity/information.
- Utilizes advanced spreadsheet skills to collect, maintain, and analyze financial and statistical data.
- Utilizes effective communication ensuring congruence amongst the team.
- Ability to work effectively with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate information is provided.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business management, or other related field OR additional 8 years of equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Experience: 3 years of experience working in accounting or finance-related roles
Preferred Qualifications:
In-depth accounting experience Comfortability working within the entire accounting cycle Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Strong written and verbal communication skills
