Product Development Program Manager
Location: Allen Park, MI
Ready to take ownership of a high-impact automotive program? We're seeking a Product Development Program Manager to lead change control, supplier coordination, BOM management, and program execution for a performance vehicle launch environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced automotive professional who thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional teams and enjoys solving complex challenges.
Education Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Master's Degree or relevant certification preferred


Experience Requirements


  • 3+ years of automotive program management, product development, or engineering release experience
  • Recent vehicle launch and change-control experience required
  • Experience with Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs), Change Requests (CRs), and BOM management
  • Strong knowledge of WERS and automotive release processes
  • Experience working with OEMs or automotive suppliers supporting OEM programs
  • Background in low-volume vehicle production preferred


Job Duties


  • Manage engineering change control and production release activities
  • Coordinate suppliers and track program deliverables
  • Create and maintain Cost Detail Documents (CDDs)
  • Reconcile engineering and financial BOM data
  • Monitor inventory and minimize obsolescence during product transitions
  • Lead cross-functional meetings involving engineering, manufacturing, logistics, finance, and suppliers
  • Drive issue resolution and support vehicle launch readiness
  • Track program milestones, risks, and change approvals
  • Support ongoing production and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Ability to work in a professional office environment with occasional interaction in manufacturing settings
  • Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to participate in meetings and presentations throughout the workday
