| Primary Purpose of Department |
The Department of Housing and Residence Life is comprised of a team of professionals committed to creating communities that enhance the academic, personal, and social development of residential students and to providing students with a variety of services and comfortable living environments that are clean, safe, and affordable. Approximately 6,100 students live in 15 residential communities. |
| Primary Purpose of Position |
The Residence Education Coordinator is a 12-month, full-time professional staff member in the Department of Housing and Residence Life. The Residence Education Coordinator is responsible for providing overall management and leadership in residential communities housing 300-750 residents. |
| Summary of Position Responsibilities |
Principal responsibilities include staff supervision and development, residential education, community development, student conduct, facility and assignment management, hall council advising, crisis management, summer operations, and other departmental/campus-wide responsibilities. |
| Minimum Education/Experience |
- Master's degree, or
- Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience.

| Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience |
Master's degree in higher education, counseling and/or student personnel (or a related field), two years of housing experience at the graduate or professional level, and the demonstrated ability to blend the academic and residential components of student life.
Additional experience in staff supervision and educational/social programming will be viewed positively. |
