Position Summary

This is a sales position, but its biggest focus is growth. We are looking for someone who can maintain and strengthen existing customer relationships while also driving new business, opening new markets, and helping expand the company's reach.

Responsibilities

#1: 50% Existing client retention, expansion, and strategic account management

#2: 50% New market development to increase sales, create partnerships, and product/market opportunity development

Key Responsibilities

Existing Market Revenue Retention, Growth and Account Managements

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients, especially strategic and higher-value accounts
  • Ensure high retention and renewal rates across the customer base
  • Identify upsell, cross-sell, and account expansion opportunities
  • Work with internal team members to improve customer onboarding, communication, and satisfaction
  • Attend daily team 9:45AM meeting

Business Development, Sales and Growth

  • Build and manage a new sales pipeline to hit agreed-upon sales targets.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize adjacent markets for our software and data products
  • Develop and test go-to-market sales strategies for new industries, buyer types, and use cases
  • Generate sales and pursue partnership, referral, channel, and association opportunities

Sales Leadership and Coordination

  • Lead the sales effort for the new markets and opportunities
  • Develop the sales approach for new products / markets.
  • Coordinate effectively with sales team members
  • Introduce better processes, reporting, and discipline to increase sales

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, account management, in B2B software, data, or professional services
  • Strong ability to prospect, sell direct, and build new markets
  • Experienced using AI for sales and business development to generate real results
  • Experience identifying and developing new markets, partnerships, or product opportunities to grow revenue
  • Ability to work directly with leadership to shape growth strategy and increase sales
  • Positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in vertical SaaS and or financial software
  • Experience selling to niche professional markets
  • Experience building repeatable sales and growth processes in a small company environment
  • Degree preferable

  • Sales revenue

  • Number and quality of qualified new market opportunities identified
  • Strategic partnerships launched
  • Revenue contribution from new offerings, segments, or partnerships

Compensation Structure

  • Incentives tied to:
  • retention/renewal of existing revenue
  • expansion revenue from current accounts
  • new sales from new markets
  • Health Insurance
  • Competitive 70% base and 30% commission

Prefer someone who is local to Colorado Springs area, can work remotely 2 days a week if you wish. Modest relocation costs if needed.
