QA Inspector BH Job ID: SF Job Req ID: JOB DESCRIPTION: The Quality Inspector performs activities related to quality assurance including, but not limited to: Inspection of components and finished goods, completing associated documentation, and support of other quality-related activities KEY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Visual inspection, measurement, and functional testing of components and finished assemblies * Perform other inspection activities as needed for process validations * Document nonconformance's when defects are identified * Comply with all company policies and procedures * General document review, scanning, and filing of quality records * Assist in investigations as needed * Other duties as assigned * Demonstrates all corporate values: * We think and act like owners. * We are bold in our aspirations while moving forward with humility and integrity. * We are committed to making our customers successful. * We foster inspired teams. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma is required * 2 years of experience performing inspections in a medical device manufacturing environment or equivalent is preferred * Ability to read and write in English * Experience with MS Office is required * Ability to use common gauges and measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, vision systems, pin gauges, etc. * Ability to follow controlled quality document instructions when performing tasks * Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings * Knowledge of the application of sampling techniques * Knowledge of good documentation practices in a regulated environment * Ability to apply basic quality tools for problem-solving and improvement * Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals * Ability to apply a high level of attention to detail and ability to work independently or as a team PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT: * The employee is required to work in a cleanroom environment and is expected to follow the guidelines and rules for working in the cleanroom. This includes following the gowning procedures, covering hair in a hairnet, and wearing personal protective equipment as appropriate. * While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently/occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. * The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. * The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
