As a Materials Manager, you will lead the planning, purchasing, inventory control, and logistics functions that ensure efficient material flow across our manufacturing operations. This role is critical in maintaining optimal inventory levels, securing timely procurement, and supporting seamless production aligned with customer and business demands.

What You Will Do

  • Champion and cultivate a Principle Based Management (PBM) environment by fostering employee development, encouraging knowledge sharing, promoting stewardship, and aligning team contributions with business priorities and customer values
  • Promote a safe work environment by driving safety awareness, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with EHS standards
  • Lead the purchasing, planning, scheduling, inventory control, and warehousing functions to ensure efficient material flow across manufacturing operations
  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies that support plant objectives, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction
  • Balance inventory investment and customer service requirements by optimizing inventory levels while ensuring material availability
  • Support daily production requirements by proactively planning material needs and preventing supply disruptions or material shortages
  • Manage supplier relationships, performance, and escalation processes to ensure the timely delivery of quality materials and services
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and operations teams to optimize end-to-end supply chain performance
  • Analyze demand, inventory trends, and material usage to improve forecasting accuracy and drive data-based decision making
  • Drive inventory reduction initiatives while maintaining targeted service levels and supporting business growth objectives
  • Mentor and develop team members while establishing clear expectations, accountability, and continuous improvement practices
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives through the use of key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance material flow, supplier performance, and overall operational effectiveness

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 5+ years of experience in materials management or supply chain within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, procurement, and production planning processes
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams and lead negotiations with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and supply chain analytics tools

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in medical device manufacturing
  • Familiarity with ISO13485
  • SAP Experience
  • Certification in supply chain or operations management (e.g., APICS CPIM/CSCP, ISM CPSM)
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives
