About the Role

The Vice President of Claim Operations is a strategic leader responsible for steering organizational strategies towards Leave Solutions Operational objectives. This executive oversees disability and absence management services, including appeals processing, quality audits, training, and performance management. The role demands an experienced executive with a track record in strategic planning, regulatory compliance, and financial optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing strategies for Claim Operations, inclusive of Absence, Disability, Workers' Compensation claims, training, quality, escalations and appeals. Ensures strategies are aligned with Alight's goals, focusing on key performance indicators, innovation, and efficiency.
  • Leading, mentoring and inspiring colleagues & people leaders to exemplify Alight Values. Embraces Continuous Performance Management and ensures all colleagues have opportunity to learn and grow their careers.
  • Leveraging technology, data & analytics, and process excellence to drive exceptional service, productivity, efficiency, and cost management.
  • Monitoring leading indicators, trends, and performance outcomes, and developing strategies to achieve optimal results. Partnering closely with the reporting and analytics team to ensure key metrics are current.
  • Embracing One Alight Approach in delivering exceptional cross-functional collaboration. Partnering with stakeholders to envision and implement promised results for the market and clients, focusing on duration management and employee and manager experience.
  • Serving as a key liaison in managing relationships with Alight clients, brokers/agencies, and the sales team. Collaborating with internal teams such as product, sales support, account management, and implementation.
  • Overseeing Claim Operations budget to meet corporate revenue objectives and implement risk mitigation strategies that comply with company policies and industry regulations. Preparing budget forecasts as well as periodic re-forecasts as required.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends in integrated disability and absence management.
  • Engaging in customer presentations and meetings with existing and prospective clients.
  • Monitoring performance and communicating results to the Claim Operations leadership team and superiors.

Requirements

  • Have bachelor's, MBA will be ideal.
  • Possess minimum 15 years operations / service delivery experience within the absence, disability, benefits administration, or related field.
  • 7+ years people leadership experience including minimum of 3 years as leader of leader. Able to recruit, manage and grow high performing teams.
  • Demonstrate ability in developing and executing strategy, and in delivering operational excellence.
  • Have performance improvement mindset and proven ability to leverage data & analytics to drive decision making and process improvement.
  • Be able to develop business plans and financial models that support strategic objectives and priorities.
  • Display exceptional leadership ability, able to achieve and maintain collaborative and highly productive relationships both within and outside Alight. Inspires and motivates teams.
  • Have ability to motivate and inspire teams, and to maintain excellent colleague engagement.

Salary Pay Range

Minimum :

200,000.00 USD

Maximum :

225,000.00 USD
