Augsburg's Statement of Commitment on Equity The Education Department at Augsburg University invites applications for a non tenure-track, visiting assistant professor in student teaching beginning August 2026. For full consideration, applications should be received by July 26, 2026. The visiting assistant professor in student teaching works with all Education department programs, faculty, and staff instructing and supporting student teachers, and coordinating and training student teaching supervisors and cooperating teachers. This position will further departmental and institutional vision through equity focused practices and engaging with intentionally diverse teacher candidates and K-12 sites. This person must keep abreast of the education rules related to student teaching for all teacher licensure programs, including departmental and institutional processes as they relate to candidates in the department. The work of coordinating student teaching is equivalent to teaching 4 courses or 4/7 of the position. Three additional courses will be assigned as appropriate to the candidate's area/s of licensure and teaching experience. Primary Responsibilities
