Sellers & Associates, LLC (S&A) is seeking an Information Technology Management Specialist to support Department of Defense (DoD) training and program operations by providing database administration, systems analysis, and information technology management support. Duties & Responsibilities
- Support training development initiatives through the administration and management of computer systems, databases, and information technology applications.
- Analyze and define data requirements, system specifications, and database structures to support operational and business needs.
- Design, develop, normalize, install, implement, and maintain relational databases.
- Monitor database performance and perform tuning, optimization, backup, recovery, and routine maintenance activities.
- Install, configure, and maintain database management system (DBMS) software and supporting utilities.
- Analyze current and future data storage requirements and recommend solutions to accommodate anticipated growth.
- Develop and administer data standards, governance policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Develop and implement data mining and data warehousing solutions to support reporting and organizational decision-making.
- Evaluate emerging database technologies and recommend improvements to database architectures and system performance.
- Analyze systems requirements based on business needs, operational risks, and cost considerations.
- Evaluate, select, install, configure, and maintain systems software, compilers, assemblers, and related utilities.
- Integrate hardware and software components within enterprise systems environments.
- Monitor and optimize overall system performance to ensure reliability, availability, and efficiency.
- Evaluate new systems engineering technologies and assess their impact on existing operating environments.
- Ensure compliance with Information Security (IS) and Information Assurance (IA) policies, principles, and best practices throughout database and systems management activities.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, system configurations, operating procedures, and implementation plans.
- Collaborate with program teams, government stakeholders, and technical personnel to support mission requirements and technology initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting training development, information technology systems, databases, or related technical environments.
- Experience analyzing and defining data requirements and system specifications.
- Experience designing, developing, implementing, and administering relational databases.
- Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, backing up, recovering, and optimizing database management systems.
- Experience planning for database capacity growth and implementing scalable data management solutions.
- Experience developing and administering data standards, policies, and procedures.
- Experience implementing data mining, data warehousing, or enterprise reporting solutions.
- Experience evaluating database technologies and recommending architectural improvements.
- Experience analyzing system requirements and supporting systems engineering activities.
- Experience integrating hardware and software components within enterprise environments.
- Experience evaluating, installing, and maintaining systems software, compilers, utilities, and related applications.
- Knowledge of Information Security (IS) and Information Assurance (IA) principles and their application within database and systems environments.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic technical environment.
- Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
Salary: $85,000-90,000
