Job Summary

Plans and prepares manufacturing production schedules and workflows to establish sequence and lead time of each production operation to meet shipping dates according to customer orders or sales forecasts. Expedites operations that delay schedules and/or alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Analyzes capacity and production data to determine manufacturing processes and required resources. Resolves issues related to production, machinery, processing, and/or packaging operations. Ensures quality control standards are maintained.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Involves such processes as insertion of materials, clamping, fitting parts and use of some hand tools. May cut pipe to specific dimensions as required by fabrication job. May align layout marks with die and blade, position materials being joined to ensure accurate application of adhesive.
  • May perform bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, using hand tools, and electronic and pneumatic tooling
  • Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
  • Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes. Place finished goods on the designated pallet.
  • Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
  • May act as peer mentor or trainer for newly hired associates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Career Level Dimensions

Typical Training/Experience

  • HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
  • Specialized skills training/certification may be required.
  • Generally, 3-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.

  • Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.

Autonomy

  • Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques.
  • Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older
  • Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable

Environmental Job Requirements

  • Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in a physical environment. Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes. Ability to make repetitive movements, including, but not limited to, bending, or squatting.

Pay: $20.48 - $24.00 per hour
