WHAT TO EXPECT
As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Elizabethtown, KY plant, you will be a Production Supervisor.
Our Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and developing a team of production employees to safely achieve daily operational goals for safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost. This role provides hands-on leadership by coaching employees, driving accountability, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. The Production Supervisor oversees day-to-day manufacturing activities, monitors key performance metrics, ensures compliance with company policies and collective bargaining agreements, and partners with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes while maintaining a safe, efficient, and high-performing work environment.
Key responsibilities (to name a few):
- Promote a strong safety culture by reinforcing safe work practices, communicating expectations, enforcing safety policies, and conducting investigations as needed.
- Lead, coach, and develop production and assembly teams to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and operational goals.
- Monitor employee performance, attendance, productivity, quality, and housekeeping while fostering accountability and recognizing strong performance.
- Address performance concerns through coaching, corrective action, and consistent administration of company policies and procedures.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements, reducing waste, and improving operational efficiency.
- Empower team members to identify and implement improvements that optimize daily operations and workflow.
- Monitor, analyze, and report shift performance metrics to support operational objectives and customer requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with employees and leadership to align business objectives, improve collaboration, and exceed customer expectations.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive work environment while ensuring compliance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing or operations environment.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach employees, drive accountability, resolve conflicts, and manage performance effectively.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in a union manufacturing environment with knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and labor practices a plus
- Demonstrated ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other business systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
