| Position Summary |
The Research Projects Administrator independently manages the operations, multi-state coordination, and project workflows for a complex regional aquatic conservation program. Collaborating with the Aquatic Framework Coordinator, this position exercises independent decision-making and analytical oversight to lead project tracking, evaluate partner deliverables, manage program documentation, and direct the planning and execution of large-scale technical workshops and trainings. The role functions as a key operational leader, ensuring that multi-unit research activities, program deliverables, and cross-agency communications are strategically executed and aligned with regional conservation priorities. |
| Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |
Financial & Procurement Administration: Proficiency in processing financial systems, monitoring and tracking complex multi-account budgets, and managing institutional procurement and compliance frameworks. Logistics & Travel Coordination: Proven expertise to independently plan, coordinate, and execute large-scale travel, field excursions, and fleet logistics, including management of university/corporate and rental vehicles. Vendor & Contract Management: Demonstrated acumen for managing vendor relationships, coordinating onboarding and fulfillment, and facility review of contracts, sole source justifications, and domestic/international vendor documentation. Project & Operational Leadership: Advanced ability to design, establish, and manage complex multi-state project workflows, timelines, and reporting systems with minimal supervision. Scientific & Technical Expertise: Specialized understanding of ecological systems, natural resource management, or conservation frameworks, enabling evaluation of partner deliverables, technical data quality control, and scientific reporting. Strategic Communication & Collaboration: Strong professional communication and interpersonal skills to direct stakeholder communication, synthesize complex meeting outcomes into actionable program goals, and foster regional collaborations.
