Job Title: Project Engineer - L4TF, L'Oreal for the Future, (Sustainability) Projects

Reports To: Operational Excellence - AVP

Location: Franklin, NJ

What You Will Do:

This role will be a technical role, mostly focused on sustainability projects (but not limited to) across the Franklin facility. The scope includes analyzing opportunities, identifying ideas, defining scope, funding and managing implementation. The sustainability projects will be targeting 3 main areas: water conservation and recycling, energy usage reduction and waste generation, touching the areas the factory (Facilities & Utilities, Processing and Packaging).

  • Manage site water and energy loss maps, understanding main opportunities to improve.
  • Define projects pipeline, feasibility studies and justification required ahead of implementation.
  • Responsible for scope definition, cost estimate, funding strategy and execution.
  • Manage contractors working on the projects, ensuring they are following all safety and quality requirements and that they are delivering required scope of work.
  • Own end-to-end project execution, from conception to turnover to operations or facilities team, including validation process.
  • Support L'Oreal safety, health, and environmental programs.
  • Maintain an effective labor/employee relations environment.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee all necessary record systems.
  • Manage, implement, and support all L'Oreal policies including, but not limited to, the Corporation's Equal Employment Opportunity policy.
  • Perform other duties as necessary or required.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • 1-3 experience with utilities systems, bulk manufacturing processes and/or chemical engineering operations.
  • Technical knowledge (by education or experience) of utilities systems, such as water, steam, HVAC, etc. is desirable.
  • Capable of managing medium-to-large capital investments.
  • Work well in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate excellent people management skills including the ability to develop a team of individuals capable of producing extraordinary results.
  • Demonstrate the L'Oreal competencies including but not limited to creative problem solving, decision making, achievement orientation, cultivation of talent and strong communication skills.
