Job Summary Under the direction of the Director of Clinical Operations, Clinical Manager, and Lead Technicians, the Ophthalmic Assistant provides technical and administrative support to the clinical care team. This role helps ensure efficient patient flow, prepares patients for examinations and diagnostic testing, maintains exam rooms and equipment, and supports the delivery of high-quality outpatient ophthalmic care.Essential Responsibilities -Prepare patients for ophthalmic examinations and diagnostic testing. -Obtain and document patient histories, including chief eye complaints, medications, and relevant ocular and medical history. -Support efficient patient flow by coordinating testing and assisting with clinic operations. -Perform ophthalmic testing, including color vision and glare/brightness assessments. -Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms, ensuring equipment and supplies are readily available. -Follow infection prevention and control policies to maintain a safe clinical environment. -Accurately document patient information in the electronic health record. -Adhere to professional standards, organizational policies, and all applicable federal, state, and regulatory requirements. The salary range for this position is $28.40 to $40.64/Hourly.
