*Project Manager - Elevator Modernization* *Location:* Florence, SC *Relocation Assistance:* Available
*About the Role* We are seeking a dynamic *Project Manager* to lead elevator modernization projects from concept through execution. Elevator modernization involves upgrading aging equipment to enhance safety, reliability, energy efficiency, and code compliance-without the cost of full system replacement. In this role, you will oversee cross-functional teams responsible for delivering end-to-end project commitments, including schedule, budget, product cost targets, and technical performance. *What You'll Do* *Project Planning & Execution* * Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines * Develop comprehensive project plans and execution strategies * Lead projects from inception through factory and field implementation *Resource & Budget Management* * Allocate personnel, materials, and resources effectively * Manage project budgets and track financial performance * Ensure projects remain within cost targets *Team Leadership* * Build and lead cross-functional teams * Assign responsibilities based on team strengths * Foster collaboration and accountability *Risk Management & Problem Solving* * Identify risks proactively and implement mitigation plans * Resolve issues that arise during execution * Manage dependencies across multiple workstreams *Stakeholder Communication* * Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and risks * Manage expectations of internal stakeholders, suppliers, and clients * Ensure successful delivery and stakeholder satisfaction *Key Areas of Modernization Projects* Projects may include upgrades across: *Mechanical & Drive Systems* * Controllers, motors, hoisting machines, regenerative drives *Operational & Safety Systems* * Door operators, wiring/cabling, code compliance upgrades *Passenger Interface* * Hall stations, car operating panels (COPs), ADA features *Aesthetics & Interiors* * Cab refinishing, lighting upgrades (e.g., LED conversion) *Required Skills & Competencies* * *Leadership & Team Management:* Ability to motivate, delegate, and guide teams * *Communication:* Strong verbal and written communication skills * *Strategic Planning:* Expertise in project planning, execution, and organization * *Negotiation:* Experience managing vendors, contracts, and stakeholder expectations * *Risk Management:* Proven ability to identify and mitigate project risks *Qualifications* * Bachelor's degree with *5+ years of experience*, or Master's degree with *3+ years of experience* * *PMP certification* (preferred) * Fluent in English * Strong proficiency in *MS Project and PowerPoint* *Additional Requirements* * Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional collaboration * Experience handling interdependencies across multiple teams * Ability to support and manage supplier partnerships * Familiarity with structured development processes (e.g., 5-stage Product Development Process) *Why Join Us?* * Work on impactful modernization projects that improve safety and efficiency * Collaborate with experienced engineering and operations teams * Opportunity for career growth in a technically evolving industry * Relocation support available *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Florence, SC. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $43.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
