The Warehouse & Yard Operator plays a critical role in supporting daily warehouse and yard operations by ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, handling, and distribution of materials. This role helps maintain inventory accuracy, supports production through timely material delivery, and contributes to overall operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

As a Warehouse & Yard Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • Receiving inbound materials from suppliers, Baker Hughes plants, and field locations, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.

  • Stocking and organizing materials, completed products, and assemblies in designated warehouse locations.

  • Picking materials, components, and finished goods and delivering them to production or shipping areas.

  • Preparing component kits and fulfilling production orders to support manufacturing operations.

  • Performing cycle counts and maintaining accurate inventory records.

  • Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely while loading and unloading freight.

  • Supporting shipping activities, including preparing outbound orders and supplier subcontract parts.

  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with company standards.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Have at least 6 months of related warehouse or logistics experience.

  • Have hands-on forklift experience and certification (required).

  • Have basic math skills and the ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.

  • Have basic PC skills, with experience using warehouse systems; SAP experience is a plus.

  • Have prior experience in an oilfield services or industrial environment (preferred).

  • Be able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with constant movement.

  • Be capable of regularly lifting up to 20 lbs and frequently lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Have strong attention to detail and the ability to follow safety and operational procedures.
