PMA Consultants is currently seeking multiple Project Schedulers for assignment with a transportation client in the New York City metropolitan area. This role will be a full onsite role in downtown New York City. Successful candidates for these positions will be responsible for creating and maintaining all phases of the project and program schedules as well as periodically conducting field visits for their assigned construction projects.

Organizational Responsibilities
Schedulers will be responsible for:


  • Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule management for design, construction, and design-build projects.
  • Attending kickoff, design, construction, and project progress meetings.
  • Creating and maintaining project and program schedules through all phases.
  • Reviewing baseline schedules and monthly CPM updates.
  • Preparing Primavera schedule comparison reports, critical path/float path analysis, earned value reports, monthly delay reports, and schedule risk/mitigation analyses.
  • Reviewing logic ties, activity timelines, calendars, phasing, resources, histograms, costs, and deviations from baseline.
  • Conducting field visits for active construction projects.
  • Developing recovery/mitigation and hypothetical scenario schedules.
  • Developing scheduler/project controls training materials.
  • Producing work samples when requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, transportation, construction, or project management.
  • Minimum 7 years of related experience in a large, multi-faceted organization.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in:

    • Design and construction.
    • Project scheduling and CPM techniques.
    • Construction methods and standards.
    • Knowledge of basic civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering principles.


  • Proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6; knowledge and familiarity with Cloud and/or EPPM version is helpful.
  • Strong project management and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Preferred but not required: railroad experience, Power BI, PMI-SP, and PMP certifications. Field experience, onsite construction experience also helpful.

The salary range for this position is $112649 - $154927.
A hired employee will be placed within this salary range based on a variety of legitimate business reasons, including but not limited to the individual's scope of relevant experience.
Additional Requirements
Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.
Cognitive: Problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; computer and software skills; and ability to read and interpret text online or in printed form.
