Job Details

We are seeking a DevOps Manager to lead and scale our infrastructure and automation teams supporting medical device software platforms. This is a unique opportunity to step into a strategic leadership role focused on delivering secure, scalable, and compliant infrastructure in support of our global product portfolio.

This role is ideal for a collaborative, growth-minded leader who understands the unique demands of operating in regulated healthcare environments and is passionate about operational excellence, team development, and infrastructure innovation.

Essential Duties

  • Lead a growing team of DevOps and Automation Engineers, providing mentorship, career development, and performance guidance.
  • Define and execute the DevOps roadmap in collaboration with cross-functional teams including TechOps, Engineering, QA, and Regulatory.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical implementation teams and business stakeholders to ensure infrastructure strategy aligns with broader product goals.
  • Oversee automated infrastructure management using Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation across AWS and hybrid environments.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and disaster recovery for cloud-native deployments.
  • Champion Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps best practices across the team.
  • Lead improvements to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD) and enable frequent, reliable, and secure software delivery.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and QA to support release automation, rollback strategies, and zero-downtime deployments.
  • Ensure infrastructure and operations meet the needs of regulated software under HIPAA, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, and IEC 62304.
  • Lead initiatives around security automation, access controls, and audit readiness in partnership with InfoSec and Quality teams.
  • Drive observability, incident response, and system reliability improvements using Datadog, CloudWatch, Splunk, and similar tools.
  • Support cost optimization and resource efficiency efforts in cloud environments.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree - Required

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, IT automation, or system administration.
  • 3+ years of experience managing or leading technical teams.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudTrail, etc.).
  • Experience with IaC tooling (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
  • Hands-on experience with hybrid and on-premises software deployment and deployment automation.
  • Understanding of networking, security, and cloud best practices.
  • Scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with monitoring & observability tools (Splunk, CloudWatch, Datadog)

Physical Demands

  • Sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Lifting/moving up to 10 pounds.
  • Exposure to moving electrical engineering parts, vibration and/or moderate noise levels.
  • Exposure to hazardous chemicals or other materials.
  • Exposure to blood.

Pay Transparency:

The pay range for this role is:

$103,600.00-$176,400.00/Annual

The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account, without limitation, the candidate's location, education, job-knowledge, skills, and experience in prior relevant roles.

Incentives may also be provided as part of Haemonetics' employee compensation. For sales roles, employees will be eligible for sales incentive (i.e., commission) under the applicable plan terms. For non-sales roles, employees will be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, the target amount of which varies based on the applicable role, to be governed by the applicable plan terms. Employees may also be eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive plan, with eligibility and target amount dependent on the role.

In addition to compensation, the Company offers a competitive suite of benefits to its employees, including without limitation, a 401(k) with up to a 6% employer match and no vesting period, an employee stock purchase plan, "flexible time off" for salaried employees and, for hourly employees, accrual of three to five weeks' vacation annually (based on tenure), accrual of up to 64 hours (annually) of paid sick time, paid and/or floating holidays, parental leave, short- and long-term disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and/or health and welfare benefits.
