Job Description Responsible for the administration, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of local area networks (LANs), including associated hardware and software systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. Additionally supports system development initiatives and implements enhancements to meet evolving organizational needs. JOB DUTIES * Coordinates the design, planning, implementation, operations and senior level support for enterprise initiatives and services. * Acts as final point of contact for diagnosis and resolution of complex network problems. * Provides technical advice and assists to network analysts and operations personnel in the proper implementation of networking technologies. * Identifies performance and/or technical issues adversely affecting the networks and advises information technology management as to their resolution. * Assists with daily maintenance and administration of local area network * Assists in formulating long-term network management strategies and contingency plans. * Maintains network documentation and configuration information. * Assists in network planning and assessment of new technologies. * Performs other duties as assigned More Info * Top skills include Active Directory (AD) experience, group policy (GPOs), general Windows server administration, PowerShell, on-premise Microsoft Exchange, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy, and certificate management. * The environment is primarily a Windows shop (migrating off older versions up to Windows 2022), with some Red Hat/Linux, and 95% virtualized under vSphere 8.0. * The position is more server-side administration with some network troubleshooting, rather than network infrastructure design.
